Moscow's lower density population affords it more green space. The inner city is dense, however, green spaces have been left along the rivers and major roads have wide boulevards with parks. These can be seen radiating out from the inner city. Also, the boundaries where the walls once were are now grassy spaces between roads and buldings along the edges between the districts. Density is less the farther away from the Kremlin, so Moscow is surrounded by a loose green-belt area of pastures and open spaces.
